Milestones and Memoirs

(Our kitchen view in the Scottish Highlands)

I did it! I wrote the memoir, ‘Shattering the Mirror’! I wrote it in 2 months while traveling constantly. I still had some editing work, mind you, but the bulk of the work is DONE!

I’m very pleased with myself. I was not sure how it would go, working on a project like that while traveling so much. I have also never done a project quite like this one, so this has been entirely new territory for me.

In the last few months, I have learned to push myself creatively. I’ve gained a lot of confidence as a writer and have been testing my abilities. I have found excellent support for my writing that not only keeps me accountable but gives me a different perspective and a way to use my talents differently. I have started to learn in different ways, taking advantage of online resources.

All of these things contributed to the creation of this memoir.

Beginning this project felt like taking a big risk – especially announcing it as I did. But I’m glad I put it out there what I was working on.

I have not settled on a release date yet, but I promise I will soon.

Thank you to everyone who has subscribed to this blog, to everyone who reads it every week, to those who follow me and my poems on Instagram, to all who have purchased my work on Amazon, and to those who have left reviews. I deeply appreciate every single one of you!
