(Our kitchen view in the Scottish Highlands)
I did it! I wrote the memoir, ‘Shattering the Mirror’! I wrote it in 2 months while traveling constantly. I still had some editing work, mind you, but the bulk of the work is DONE!
I’m very pleased with myself. I was not sure how it would go, working on a project like that while traveling so much. I have also never done a project quite like this one, so this has been entirely new territory for me.
In the last few months, I have learned to push myself creatively. I’ve gained a lot of confidence as a writer and have been testing my abilities. I have found excellent support for my writing that not only keeps me accountable but gives me a different perspective and a way to use my talents differently. I have started to learn in different ways, taking advantage of online resources.
All of these things contributed to the creation of this memoir.
Beginning this project felt like taking a big risk – especially announcing it as I did. But I’m glad I put it out there what I was working on.
I have not settled on a release date yet, but I promise I will soon.
