How strange to think that where we are is due mostly to our choices. Someone once told me that life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% what you do with that. That said, it must be true that the direction that our mind goes, the things we have placed value on, are of every importance.
When was the last time you thought about what you think about? In other news, what does your inner-monologue look like?
Do you have mostly good thoughts or mostly negative thoughts?
When you refer to yourself, do you think things like “You idiot!”, or are you gentle with yourself?
No matter the case, you can change the pattern in your thinking.
Your inner-monologue has a lot of influence on the way you live your life. If you’ve never been aware of it before, or have never bothered to change your pattern of thinking, I would challenge you to take it more seriously.
It can seem a simple thing, but focusing on things that are good, beautiful, compelling, gracious, stirring, inspiring, and authentic can make a huge difference in your outlook, attitude, and emotions.
Whether you think about yourself, others, or situations, be open to thinking differently.
Where your mind goes can change your life. Believe me.
