For some reason, December 11 has become an important day for me.
On December 11, 2011 I boarded a plane in Copenhagen, Denmark to fly alone internationally for the first time. Late that night, I landed in Atlanta where S picked me up. We hadn’t seen each other in 8 months.
The visit lasted 6 weeks. I met his family for the first time on that trip.

Early on December 11, 2012 I again boarded a plane in Copenhagen – for the last time.
I said goodbye to Sweden and moved back to Texas.

Officially, today marks one year of living stateside after two years overseas.
My life has been such an adventure.
I’m glad for the opportunity I had to travel.
I know that wasn’t the last time I’ll be in Europe. S and I have dreams of traveling to many, many places.
December 11, 2013 doesn’t have anything exciting scheduled. I’m halfway through my final week at work. That’s about it.
Isn’t it interesting how life changes?
Change is the only constant. :-)
Indeed!
